Plant lovers can indulge themselves in Lofoten. Here there are still rich peat areas with species such as sundew, butterwort and peat fluff. Species from the Alps are sometimes found here at sea level. In spring and summer the fields are full of yellow and purple flowers, everything grows 24 hours a day because of the midnight sun. Spotted orchid and wild violet grow on the roadsides. They are visited by butterflies and bumblebees. Dragonflies hunt over the peat bogs.
